    Аннотация: The Workshop on Strange Quark Matter in Physics and Astrophysics was the first meeting devoted to this exciting field since Witten in 1984 called attention to the possibility, that strange quark matter may be absolutely stable, and that it could be created not only in the laboratory, but also in the early Universe, and in neutron stars. At skake is nothing less than the ground state of strongly interacting matter, with numerous consequences for nuclear physics, particle physics, and astrophysics. Therefore it seemed long overdue to meet in order to sum up previous research and discuss the possibilities for the future. Fortunately, almost everybody working in the field arrived in Arhus for 4 days of talks, posters, and lots of discussion. Several new collaborations were initiated during the meeting, and this in itself made the Workshop worthwhile.
